Revive Neo Formula verses Revive Extra Bolus
The ruminant is a much different GI environment than a monogastric neonate. For this reason, Revive Neo has a much different formulation than Revive Extra Bolus, that is intended for functional ruminants. Specifically, the predominant probiotic strain in Revive Neo is Pediococcus.
The biggest point that supports the use of a probiotic with Pediococcus in the neonate, as opposed to Lactobacillus alone is that most Lactobacillus species are sensitive to acidic exposure and have difficulty surviving environments with low pH.
